Knapp 60 Jahre nach der Gründung der Band veröffentlichen Canned Heat 2024 ihr Studioalbum »Finyl Vinyl«.
Eingespielt wurde es im kalifornischen Burbank.

Zum aktuellen Line-up gehören Langzeitmitglied Fito de la Parra, Gitarrist und Sänger Jimmy Vivino, Harper Dale Spalding und Bassist Richard »Rick« Reed.
Reed folgte auf den 2019 verstorbenen Larry »The Mole« Taylor.

Unterstützung kam unter anderem von Joe Bonamassa, der bei »So Sad (The World's In A Tangle)« die Leadgitarre übernimmt.
Diesen Song hatten Canned Heat noch mit Alan Wilson und Bob Hite für ihr Album »Future Blues« von 1970 eingespielt.
