Notorious ist das vierte Studioalbum von Duran Duran und markiert eine wichtige Phase in der Entwicklung der britischen New-Wave-Band aus Birmingham.

Erstmals entstand ein Album der Band ohne Andy Taylor und Roger Taylor. Dadurch öffnete sich der Sound stärker in Richtung Funk, Pop und elegant produzierter 80er-Jahre-Grooves.
