Dieses wunderbare Album von Shuggie Otis wurde bei seiner Veröffentlichung 1974 weitgehend übersehen.
Das ist schade, denn es gehört zu den Platten, auf denen man bei jedem Durchgang Neues entdeckt.

Shuggie Otis hat sämtliche Instrumente selbst eingespielt.
Das Ergebnis ist ein sehr direkter Blick in seinen Kopf: beruhigend, feinsinnig, harmonisch und elegant funky.

Manche sagen, das Album sei seiner Zeit weit voraus gewesen.
Es würde tatsächlich mühelos in den Trip-Hop passen.
