Veröffentlicht wurde es 1992, zwei Jahre nach Vaughans Tod.

Das Konzert selbst fand am 1. April 1980 im »Steamboat 1874« in Austin, Texas statt.
Das war lange bevor Seidenkimono und schwarzer Sombrero zu seinen Markenzeichen wurden.

Es liegt vor dem legendären Auftritt beim Montreux Jazz Festival und vor seinem ersten Plattenvertrag.
Zu hören ist ein 25-jähriger Vaughan, mehr als drei Jahre vor seinem Debütalbum.
