„Crime Of The Century“ ist Supertramps drittes Album, 1974 erschienen und gemeinsam mit Ken Scott produziert.
Es brachte der Band den kommerziellen Durchbruch in Großbritannien und den USA.

Getragen vom britischen Hit „Dreamer“ und dem US-Hit „Bloody Well Right“ erreichte das Album die britischen Top 10.
In Kanada hielt es sich über zwei Jahre in den Charts und verkaufte sich über eine Million Mal.

Die Songs kreisen lose um Einsamkeit, Druck und seelisches Gleichgewicht, ohne ein strenges Konzeptalbum zu sein.
